Okanagan Valley Merlot

This wasn’t my favorite Okanagan merlot; there was a strange minty-ness on the finish that made me think of a spiced wine.

I really enjoyed this merlot! Very full bodied, flavourful. Blackberries, vanilla, cherries, great smell and easy to drink. Definitely buy again.

I have rated this wine before and loved it. Let’s just say that this wine is a prime example of how far the Okanagan wines have come and the reason why I consider it a world class contender. Cheers 🍷🇨🇦

Burrowing Owl Estate Wines have achieved an almost cult status in parts of BC with much excitement in anticipation of a new release. Known more for their Athens, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon's this Merlot deserves notice on its own. With a deep garnet color, a nose of blackberry, black cherry and plum this complex wine delights with smooth layers of vanilla, spices, dark chocolate and hints of sage. If you can find it, this smooth Canadian deserves your attention. Cheers 🇨🇦🍷
