Moderately extracted ruby red, good clarity. Butter and black currant notes in nose. Cherry, raspberry and black currant in mouth, light skin tannins in finish. Rounded mouthfeel and an umami-graphite-ink flavor after 30 minutes, good balance, just enough tannins for structure.

Even better than I remember, so bright and mineral driven.

Like a Pinot noir that traded its jam for black pepper.

Signature black pepper pop. Immediate pour is a tad thin, but give it time. A gorgeous wine. Dear Oregon, please plant more of your world class Gamay and leave the Pinot for your really exceptional sites.

Pleasantly surprised as I thought it was going to be hot. Well balanced wine. Pinot isn't the only amazing Burgundian varietal to come out of Oregon.

This is the new 'Due East' and its spectacular! It's a small block that Doug started planting to a higher quality Gamay clone back in 2008.
