Who would have guessed that this would be so good! A lot of funk when opened but once that blew off it was raspberries, healthy soil, a hint of mushrooms, fine black pepper, and red cherries all the way down.

A great level and impeccable cork attests to great storage, which will have helped keep this guy alive; but given the quality I'm also pretty certain it must be from declassified fruit (likely given the vintage). If I were to bet I'd say a combination of Gevrey an MSD.
