Bos Wine
Deo Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Passed right by this vineyard as we were turning onto Soda Canyon Rd to visit Relic. Always really interesting to research where these single vineyard wines are sourced. This wine has a nose that is basil and a pepperoncini kind of note. Very interesting. The wine enters quite robustly with herbal notes of oregano, basil, and notes of green pepper. The fruit structure was more of a black cherry building from the front to middle. Finishes back to more of an herbal characteristic, almost as if the fruit is sandwiched between. Peppery and acidic finish which built in the long 30-second finish. Seemed to make that pepperoncini note kind of come back into the picture. Went really well with the Italian dish it was served with. Finished with some acidity and new oak tannin. Kind of a unique wine, and definitely not in a bad way.
