Last bottle of this. Still drinking beautifully. Nose has lychee, pear syrup, wet river stones, and lilies. In the mouth it’s round and broad, and also slightly sweet, but it’s all in balance due to nice minerality and a little bitter note. Love the balance on this.

Post- drinking notes. Love this. So classic. Only qualification is that I’d love it if more Alsace producers went the Trimbach/Hugel route for Gewurz and made it a tad drier. Still so nice. See prior notes for more specifics.

Classic Gewurz. Musky, lychee, some very subtle earthiness that more basic Gewurz’s lack. Rich in the mouth, slightly sweet, but not cloying, it’s got relatively full body and enough soft acidity to carry it. Lengthy finish. Very nice.
