I don't even know how to describe this. 1946 vintage - at 70 years the texture is like no other dessert wine i've ever had. Almost like a very high end balsalmic, but born from grapes.

A legend holding its own, without doubt offers a high note that sets it apart from other great Toro Albala vintages.

Been saving this for a special occasion, was well worth the wait. Flavors last and last in your mouth!

What to say, except probably the best port ever tasted.

Beautifully chocolatey. Fresh acidity. Slightly short finish for such an old wine but still extremely alive.

Loveliest gingerbread taste ever with a lift that invites another sip. And another.

AMAZING dessert wine!!! 1946??? Really?!! Viscous, syrupy, rich brown color. Is that prunes? Or figs? Or bot? Maybe some wood? And maybe a little fleeting hint of chocolate at the outset? But mostly the prunes, or figs. And that lovely syrupy flow over your tongue. Lovely long linger... One sip is a dessert in itself. 12 points out of 10. Don't think i could ever find a wine I like better.
