Blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha. Dark ruby color. Not a traditional Rioja-Style wine as it is very fruit forward on both the nose and pallet. Aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, vanilla and black licorice. Black berry/currant on the pallet with hints of cola, black licorice and wet loamy soil. Touch of mint on the finish. Tannins are firm but nicely integrated. Vibrant acidity. Much better than I expected. Revisited in July 2025. Getting better with age!
