Needs to breath, but picks up speed after 30 minutes. The restrained red fruit eventually shines through, but gives the stage to scorched earth and clay, savory herbs, underbrush, dried flowers, and spice box. The balanced and playful acid and tannin banter stretches the fruit out across the entire length of the wine. A deceptively high quality wine that requires close attention, and really delivers on a cerebral level.

2010 showing well, balanced. Some acidity, some darker fruit, medium oak, decent finish. Swell wine at this price point.

Potent. Ripe dark fruits with just a hint of spice from wood in finish. Medium plus body but tannins are stronger than that.
