This one is nice!!! 100% Tempranillo dried rose petals, red fruit, vanilla, spice and a hint of espresso. Balanced and has a 25-30 sec finish. Beautiful!

Wow! We opened this 2 days ago and it was huge and needed to breathe...big time. Now? It's gorgeous! Red cherries galore, cedar, vanilla, cassis w/ vegetal undertones. Juicy entrance w/ beautifully integrated tannins and lovely acidity. #Rioja wow!

All Tempranillo, with big spice on the nose complimented by a vanilla extract plus-up (likely because it's a bit hot @14%) that cleans up in a Bing cherry front mouth shower that goes a little blue (as in berries) that unfortunately ethereally escapes into the beyond... If this wine had a long, lush finish it would jump to the high 9s. I'm thinking that were it temp proper, decanted, twirled in my glass (doing that now, of course) with more time, then more would come through, in spite of the alcohol...
Of course, the pizza (Kristi's way - Champagne drenched shrooms, smoked Gouda, balsamic infused onions, iItalian sausage topped with peppered arugula ) is spot on with the wine (good partners for sure) @ Full Circle (another story worth reading, hearing,...) where owner/chef Kyle is a master in motion! Check it out...!

18 months in oak, 2 years in btl. Current release is 2009. Delicious and complex but not overly big.

Earthy/leathery undertones in the aroma before the fruit hits. In the flavour are red fruits, plums & strawberries; but overwhelmingly savoury. Slightly chalky finish. Rewarding complexity from ageing.
