Fruity on the nose with violets, blackberries, oak, metals, barnyard, plums, cherry jam, vanilla, cloves, spices and white pepper. Not a typical Malbec nose.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and great legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, blackberries, plums, bitter greens, light vanilla, cloves, spices, bell pepper and peppercorn.
Short finish with green, soft tannins and black pepper.
This 100% Malbec, is a drinkable, everyday red wine. Nothing more than that, though. Too bitter for me. Might need an additional year in the bottle.
Needed 2 hours to open up.
