Medium intensity ruby color that you can see through. The nose is red cherries all the way with some subtle spice and tobacco accents. The palate is dry, medium+ acidity, plenty of freshness. Medium, though fine grained, tannin structure. The flavor intensity is medium to medium+ with that cherry, spice and tobacco with an underlying beam of barely there funk. Fun and interesting wine. Excellent deal at $20. The Patagonian cool climate really comes through with bright red fruit and a fresh palate. @Eric Asimov nailed it!

Great value, cherries, dust, and a little funk. Day 2 was going more fruit forward. Don't know much about merlot, but I would definitely get this again! Excellent bottle

Very good Merlot - why did this grape fall out of favor?! Drink at NR Women's Wine Tasting.
