Had to try right out of the bottle, and we noted strong red and black fruit on the nose. Loads of fruit flavors with a hint of baking spices, and super complex like the older Merus cabs. After 30 minutes, OMG! This is the best Pinot I've ever had. We had another Black Kite recently and thought that was amazing, but this is out of the ballpark. You have to try this wine. A great bottle for Thanksgiving dinner.
