Pretty and savory also a bit of lacto funk which doesn’t wander too far into the farmyard for my taste though I’m sure I’d like it better if it were better settled before bottling. Refreshing with some killer Oaxacan mole

What better wine to pop open on Cinco de Mayo than one from Mexico! The "mystery" grape here is thought to be either dolcetto or carignan, but I'm not sold on either, personally. Regardless, there is definite funk on the nose, but not too barnyard-y. Also got red licorice. Nice flavors of cranberry and Cherry Coke on the palate. Cool wine! 100% Unknown varietal. 5/5/22.

Fruity and funky. Black cherries, pepper, licorice, flowers petals and dusty barnyard. On the palate it’s juicy and generous up front, moving into the feral, gamey barnyard notes towards the finish.
I like this one better than previous vintages tried. Brett is better integrated (doesn’t take over as much, but stands beside the fruit) and sediment is in better check .
Really good w oxtail Birria.
