Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep and dark purplish red. Dark and rich nose with cinnamon, blackberries, cassis, and dark flowers. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Lush and rich on the palate starting out a little perfumey then followed up with dark cassis, currants, anise, and baking spices. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2028. (93+)

Tasted side by side with the 15 Myriad NV and 15 Quivet NV.

Deep and dark purple. A bit mute to start on the nose but definitely filled with a cloud of dark fruits and dark spices. A touch of black raspberries poking through. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Rich and lush palate with cinnamon, brown sugar, black fruits and anise. Long and lingering finish. Lovely and will continue to purchase these. Drink till 2028. (93+)

Another great one from @Mike Smith. Curious to hear your thoughts on how you think this compares to the '15 Myriad NV... we have yet to try a bottle but I remember the pour you gave us in August being very good

The nose on Mike Smith wines are fantastic, reminds me of the Carters he makes. But this is at half the price of the Carters,

I’ve been waiting to see what all the hype was about. This juice is the real deal. Needs some time sideways, but can’t wait to try again with some age
