1993 vintage. Medium color. Lovely layering of red fruits with cherry at the front, blackberry in the finish. Notes of mushroom and oak. Flavors seemed to peak around an hour after opening, declining after two. 12.5% ABV. From the FIL’s collection.

Back to Bordeaux’s! Shocked this was as good as it was due to the vintage and the label. It was fantastic. PnP. Medium cherry color. Mild barnyard nose with some vegetables. Wine wasn’t that deep, but had that classic Bordeaux flavor. Modest complexity with little fruit. Medium finish. Drink soon, as it’s probably 1-3yrs past it’s prime.
