Cuvée Bernardo Vallana Spanna Nebbiolo

The tannin is bold but fleeting. Very heavy but it calms down after a bit of a drink.

Very wintry. Thick and jammy tasting.

2010 finally softened great bottle for the $14 I paid for them

I waver- feels a bit cooked, maybe even mildly corked, but still catnip: iron blood, cinnamon

Had found other Vallanas kinda meh of late, but this works on an other level, possibly as this has found its drinking window:the nose is a wild blend of rusted iron & cinnamon, just catnip for my palate; minerally entry & mid palate, maintains though a juicy mouthfeel. All at a 12.5% alc, again my wheelhouse

Usually I love this maker- but either this was corked ( my fellow drinkers x2 did not think so) r it's in its very dumb phase

Rustic Nebbiolo, could use some time in the cellar. The wine is much better than the pizza
