Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards
Estate Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Still holding up very well!
Mature, soft, well balanced and alive.
Smoke, dark fruit, blackpudding, toast and meat. Lovely.

Cranberry juice, earth, cigar, pencil. Had better balanced bottles recently. But a nice wine nonetheless.

Bright cherry and cassis flavours, soft notes of toasted oak, tobacco and graphite. Well judged acidity and perfectly balanced mid-palate is giving way to beautiful rustic, savoury secondaries. This is currently drinking at peak, IMO.
Served at cellar temperature which was a good choice considering the heat here in Holland.

Tremendous mixture of autumnal, rustic, tertiairy components and mature dark fruit notes wafts from the glass. Cured ham, mocca, warm chestnuts, cocoa, sandalwood and dried plummy, figgy fruit intermingle on the gentle and friendly palate. Reminds me of mid-nineties Bdx-wines, but its acidity and tannines are much softer. Or have integrated better.
A treat, and a bargain.
