Negroamaro

Not bad but not my favorite. The Sangiovese was much much better

It's not Salice Salento but it's black and robust and great with Ciccio pizza.

Mellowed with age (2007), but still has subtle fruit brightness. Earthy, smooth, wonderful to share with family.

Excellent. Spiced fruit.

Their Cabs are awesome, but this is probably my favorite wine from the producer. Dark, almost black fruits. Smooth with a pinch of tannin. Perfect time to drink it 2-3 years before it starts to slide.

Bland at first but opened up nicely after an hour of air. Nose was pepper and dust. Balanced palate of strawberry-jalepeno jam. Tannins down to about 20%. Probably on its last really good year.

Of course their cabs are awesome but this is one of my favorites from the producer. Bought a case upon release and it's been great to see how it's evolved over time. Medium body, plenty of fruit and tannin and a little pepper on the finish. It's heading toward the finish line but still really good. My wife (who's face is squished in the background) gives it a 9.8.

Big wine not surprising considering the vintage. I would of like the wine a little more restrain.

Full of fruit and spice.
