Like I extracted a bucket of black olives with toluene. Spectacular!

Screaming good and accessible right out of the bottle. Such a great vintage for reva.

Beautiful nose. Nice full mouthfeel, a little too much oak on the palate, but still very enjoyable

Big ripe dark fruit. Intense wine with a lot of depth.

Absolutely fantastic. It’s definitely on the downslope - the tannins have softened up quite a bit so there’s not as much backbone as it had a couple of years ago - but the fruit is still going strong in this beautifully balanced syrah. Awesome.

Until the last couple of weeks I have NOT given John Alban enough credit. These wines are absolutely incredible. I am excited to try this one again tomorrow as it seems built for a very long life. I’m smiling big time @Mike R !

This wine is ready to rock. A solid 95 if not 95.5. The density of this wine is incredible. Rounded edges on the front and back. Fruit core of baked plum and fig that expresses right up front. Started to get a little bit of bell pepper, smoke and meaty Savory characteristics in the middle and towards the finish. Stood up very well to the peppers and paired quite nicely with the braised pork. I think this one could be held another five years as the fruit intensity up front is significant and rather youthful. But, I think this one is in such a good spot right now that you probably just want to go ahead and pop it!
