Definitely new world oak treatment. Fruit is masked a bit, but a fun effort.

Nice tannin structure, hints of dark fruit with a floral bouquet. Far too easy to drink!

The 2012 Dolcetto opens up with nice earthy tones and a bit of cherry. You get a mix of blackberry and cherry with a little spice of some sort that finished nicely. I thought it had a slight expresso bean finish as well. Very enjoyable glass of wine.

Ripe blackberry & blueberry, velvety smooth with a touch of woodsiness & tobacco in the finish. First bottle opened after a wonderful visit to the vineyard!

Let it breath and it just keeps getting better! Has some nice coco nibs on the finish.
