Excellent entry level Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) from the Pfalz region of Germany. Forest floor and hints of eucalyptus on the nose, black cherry and mushroom umami on the palate. I’m a big fan of German pinots as they’re delicious and offer some of the best QPR. This one’s no exception.

Rating is way low on this one. Definitely a beautiful Pinot Noir that deserves attention. Smooth and crisp Pinot with great notes of cherry. Perfect with this amazing Asian fusion dinner tonight.

Dark cherry, violet, forest fruit. A bit hollow on the palate.

Red berries, some undefinable (by me) herbs and maybe vanilla? Full on fruit on the palate. Pretty high acidity and a distinctive dryness in the finish.
