Well, again Ehlers estate never disappoints! This is a fantastic cab franc from St Helena in Nappa Valley. The cork was absolutely perfect. The color is midnight sky on a cloudy night with a rim of purple hue. The legs are thick and long with a 12 second fall. The bouquet is a floral collage of roses and concord grapes growing in a field surrounded by ancient oaks. The initial palate reminds me of blackberry pie with a butter coated crust. The finish is a tart raspberry sorbet floating in a buttery, spicy, and oaky bliss of soft wine only experienced in a tiny French cafe. This is my new favorite wine. Im sorry ZD, you've just been pushed into second place!!!!!!!! Im buying as much of this as I can afford. I suggest you pick this one up asap while there is some left. — 9 years ago

If you like Zombie Dust or Citra hopped beer and you can find this try it. Slightly better than ZD in my opinion. — 11 years ago
#knifepointer great nose on this one - hints of rose petal, cassis, and mocha espresso. While spiced French oak overwhelms the tongue! Enjoyed this more than the ZD. — 9 years ago
Austere wine for a ZD, and advanced for a 2010. Nose heavy with petrol, orange peel. Crushed minerals, preserved lemon, iodine and sea spray. Much more mineral than fruit palate is medium + body, taught bracing acidity. Lemony with mineralogy and diesel trumping fruit. Fantastic, but not for everyone. $28 — 9 years ago
Fantastic cab. I want more. — 10 years ago

Yountville grapes. Only sold at winery, and sold out as of 10/1/17. Medium tannins and medium-full body for a merlot. Dark chocolate, cherry, oak, plum notes. 3 bottles left. — 8 years ago
2013 paired great with a rib eye or Butternut squash ravioli — 8 years ago
Great, very limited release, Napa valley Sangiovese. Needs plenty of time to open up, and it's worth the wait. Dark Ruby color, light to medium bodied, with nice red fruit and firm, yet silk and well integrated tannins, on the finish. — 9 years ago
Light and doesn't sit on the tongue too long. Summer sipper — 9 years ago
Had the 2008 it was excellent — 9 years ago
