Not what it used to be. Fleshier and missing that "zap to the brain" zing. Smelled like cloudy bay. — 12 years ago
Good Zin showing at ZAP tasting over the weekend. #zin @thezinfandelorg #wine #drycreekvalley #sonoma — 13 years ago

Acid and cream. Major zippy zap at first then opens up with ripe apples and pears smothered in dollops of delicious cream. Wish this bottle wasn't so hard for me to get, I need a million more. — 9 years ago

I've never been a huge Zinfandel guy, but this one really caught my attention. The Heritage Vineyard produced by the Zinfandel Advocates and Producers, is big, bold, and juicy. Blackberries and cinnamon are on the nose and the tongue. I'm tasting cloves, some very nice spices, and oak on the palate. It's very solidly structured wine that truly opens up with a little decanting. Just a wee bit of menthol on the long finish takes this baby home. This is something I could drink everyday and love. — 11 years ago
Very ripe with lots of vanilla oak. Intense cab. Truly only for fruit bombers who love than thick vanilla zap. Tasted twice.

Vintage 2013; written on back. So impressed with this, tasted blind in options. I though Old World and with a touch more age, the latter misconception (or both, really) connected to a really intriguing depth to the citrus fruit tones. Nose very fragrant, floral and citric, with a green bean-like hint and fennel. Just a zap of sweetness on the front palate and then whoosh, it's this long, focused and thrilling palate. The texture is soft, the lemon/lime fruit intense and there's unmissable gingery spice that zings through the finish. Complex, assertive wine with lovely balance. — 11 years ago

Star fruit! Pow! Tangerine zest! Bam! Pummelo! Zap! This is Adam west dancing around my mouth in full gear. Hell ya. It's not every day you drink exotic grape varietals, in spandex.

I’ve been wanting to try HV Semillon for a long time. First I’ve seen in Portland. Love it. Fresh, zip zap acidity. Maybe a little RS. Semillon waxy body and finish. A little high toned savoriness too. — 8 years ago
