Hebral brightness into jammy tannins for the finish. Quite unique. — 7 years ago
Briny, lots of minerality, medium bodied. — 9 years ago

Volcano Essence. Indigenous variety from Canary Islands. Fruity, Peppery and mineral. Bold and complex. Honest and intriguing . Rare and singular... Medium weight with mid to high tannins and balanced acidity. This is a serious wine for serious drinkers. This is a trip into tradition and knowledge. Masterfully crafted in Abona. — 6 years ago

This was a knockout! Super rare wine that was brought in exclusively for a certain restaurant. Light and fresh, this red was the perfect pair for traditional Spanish tapas. — 10 years ago
Place: Tenerife (Canary Island), Spain from Yconde-Daute-Isora appellation.

Vigneron: Envinate (Cuvee Viticole)

Grape: Listán Blanco; Vintage: 2017

Color: Deep gold to amber around the rim. Why is the color gold for a young wine? *** I don’t know, maybe skin contact, or oxidative wine making style? @brianmcclinticms @envinatewine

Nose: Not floral, not citrus, spices (cinnamon, fennel seeds)

Taste: Good structure, soft acidity throughout, sweet spice taste, interesting that it’s packing quite a bit of tannins for a white wine from mid-palate through long finish. — 7 years ago
Funky blackberries, loved it with smoked lamb — 7 years ago
Green apples, bee pollen, yellow plums and tomatoes, hay, sweat, barnyard funk and gasoline. A deep and expansive flavor with a satisfyingly salty finish. Love this wine- it’s a trip. — 8 years ago
Great balanced taste. Had strong aroma — 9 years ago
Pronounced black cherry and plum nose, with anise, pepper and crushed stone notes. Ample, brambly blueberry and black raspberry on the palate, with good acidity. Bursting with juicy goodness, some--but not too much--grip, and a 40+ second finish with spice and mineral. A real beauty. My one wish, if any, would be for just a bit less residual sugar. — 10 years ago
