Paul Hobbs

Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay 2007

This wine was great. Liked the first taste. Yes it had the oak and the butter, but it was balanced and it wasn't overdone. The wine evolved over the hour and the last sip was pure heaven. LOVED the last taste. — 8 years ago

Bramare Luján de Cuyo Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Great mineral and blackberry compote nose with silky stewed red fruit and herbs on the palate. A lovely wine for the price, especially coming from Paul Hobbs. Shows off cool high elevation fruit. — 11 years ago

Black Cordon Vineyards

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

Amazing quality wine, by Paul Hobbs! Leather and anise on the nose, which was also very floral and aromatic from afar. Dense black currant and black berries, creme-de-casi, tobacco, tea, earthy notes, and toasted vanilla on the pallet, ending in a lingering mocha finish. Absolutely top notch example of Napa Valley. While still young, decanters beautifully, so I'd say hold or drink for this one. One of the few best bottles under $100. — 10 years ago
