Great dark fruit with pepper. Nice blend. Low acid, great overall dark red. — 6 years ago
This was a wonderfully complex flavorful Cab. This was the only Roundpond offering we liked. Need to stick to the granite series. — 7 years ago
Savory and delicate — 7 years ago
A step above most cabs I've had. I tend to stick with the $10 price range, & I found this at SAMS for just under. This wine was very good & plenty of character all-around. It had long thick legs, a smooth start and finish. (Especially when aireated.) — 7 years ago
Black cherry fruit accompanied by a heavy dose of grilled meat and gym socks. Inky color, strong legs, medium-bodied. Unfortunately, in keeping with the spirit of the Olympics, it didn't stick the landing -- the finish is short. Overall, fantastic but this is loaded with secondary flavors and has to be your thing. — 8 years ago
This is so good right now. — 9 years ago
good. but for 20 bucks on wtso I think I might stick with the 17 hands for 7.50 at Sam's for a table wine. let me know if you try this one — 9 years ago
Seriously, the best Pinot out of Alsace. Stick it in a blind tasting and I bet most Somms would think it was from Rully! — 10 years ago
So fresh. Cherry cola cinamom stick — 12 years ago
Dark Ruby. Lovely aromatics, violets, roses, flower garden that blossomed into a nice layered flavor trove of chocolate dipped cherry and toasted cinnamon stick. Perfect compliment to a NY Strip. — 5 years ago
Fabulous relaxed & reasonably priced meal at “Blanc” in the Mandarin Oriental with Chef Carme Ruscalleda, whose restaurants have won 7 Michelin stars! ⏩ Scroll for delish city’s food pics on Instagram ⏩
A truly unique wine that’s €112 in restaurant & €56 from winery that went with all the foods shown perfectly 😍

Delicious. Fruity with multiple flavors. Great summer wine. Mike S recommended. Finished bottle same night. Great PQR at 14.40 on TW 20% off. Not as good as Hartford but as good as Seghasio Sonoma. Need to stick up on. — 7 years ago
2012 vintage at Ledford House in Mendocino. Dreamy and smooth. — 7 years ago
Black Cod was right 🐟 - Distinct wine, searing acid, but softened with fresh white flowers, underripe stone fruits and pixie stick artificial candy mineral length. It was resting for two years and maintained it's beautiful character in comparison to the previous one consumed years ago. — 7 years ago
A well balanced fruit forward wine with flavors of plums, plump ripe blackberries and a strong hint of cinnamon stick. Leathery tannins but not over bearing with a light touch of vanilla on the finish. Great wine for the price. — 8 years ago
This is an underground stick-fighter in Rangpur. Fast on the attack with loooong, brutal 90+ second finish...it's the scotch of wine. — 8 years ago
Can not beat this with a stick for the price.... Tart fruit, fine tannins and after opening up, that lovely animal that Pinot emits — 9 years ago
Clear & star-bright yellow with medium aromas of hard, green plum, apple & mineral aromas. There's chalky, wet stone notes & loads of lemon, lime & green plum flavors. Lower alcohol & not too complex, but Delicious, searing acidity. Like a giggling psycho lemondrop on a pogo stick. Love it! — 10 years ago
Van Williamson! 12.8 natural alcohol. — 11 years ago

Great Rhone blend from Dave potter. Stick it in the fridge for a few minutes. Bright red fruits, tart cherry, red pepper berries — 7 years ago
Nice with enchiladas :) — 7 years ago
Tried n true. Clove, cinnamon stick, and vanilla. — 7 years ago
I absolutely loved this wine! I usually stick to red wines. But this was so perfect: balanced, lots of flavor and a smooth interesting finish. (Almost reminds me of a sour.) — 8 years ago
Super intense. Opulent. A fine shellfish companion. Starts off as a viscous batch of unripened pears. Moves to a sweet pineapple flavour with a white carnation bouquet. Finishes as peppermint stick and caramel. An excellent, evolving number. Drink above 60. Go now; premox lurks. — 9 years ago

2 years in oak barrels, followed by 2 years of bottle age, then released in the 5th year. Montalcino has made Brunello both a science and passion. In the most recent vintages, 2001, 2004, 2006, it didn't matter the vineyard ... Most are outstanding. But some stick out and this wine does just that. The fruit that initially hits the palate is mind blowing. How can this not be a Bordeaux blend? How can this just be Sangiovese? But it continues with the grace and balance of an old world red. Unfortunately, I haven't seen this bottle in at least a few years and I only have 1 bottle left. But for under $50, this definitely stands out! Cheers! — 11 years ago

The nose reveals; brambly, blackberries, dark cherries, stewed strawberries, blueberries, hints of slightly cooked rhubarb, mix of black plum & plum, creamed raspberries, vanilla, touch of cinnamon, clove and even less nutmeg, dark spice, underbrush, soft leather, fresh tobacco, limestone minerals, dry herbs-bay leaf, mid, mixed, berry cola, crushed, dry rock, steeped fruit tea, cherry kirsch, slight liqueur notes, candied; violets, fresh dark & red florals with hints of lavender.
The body is full, still youthful and lush. The palate & tannins are rounded but, teethe, tarry & a touch austere. The tension, structure, length and balance are very nice but, still have 7–10 years good drinking ahead. Brambly, blackberries, dark cherries, stewed strawberries, blueberries, hints of slightly cooked rhubarb, mix of black plum & plum, creamed raspberries, vanilla, touch of cinnamon stick, clove and even less nutmeg, dark spice, black licorice, underbrush, old, soft leather, fresh tobacco, limestone minerals, dry herbs-bay leaf, mid, mixed, berry cola, tarry notes, crushed, dry rock, dry top soil, steeped fruit tea, cherry kirsch, slight liqueur notes, candied; violets, fresh dark & red florals with hints of lavender.
One flaw, the first glass showed a little to much alcohol heat but, dissipated after. 14.5 ABV...seemed more like 15.5.
