Our favorite, always - with salad at Jazz Gallery — 8 years ago
Deep red forest fruits, silky smooth tannins and hints of creamy chocolate, dried rosemary, rich, luscious, drinking beautifully after 14 yrs of ageing. 100% Mavrud, a Bulgarian native grape linked to Mourvèdre. #bulgarian #bandol ! — 8 years ago
Apparently 2009 is the first vintage of this original blend of Touriga Nacional (34%), Syrah (33%) and Primitivo. Dark red with purplish hue. Powerful nose, slightly Port-like, reminescent of black fruits, dried herbs, coffee and the violets I associate with Touriga Nacional. Intense taste of sweet dark berries and spices, with firm, but well-tamed tannin and refreshing acidity keeping it in balance. Good length too. Absolutely interesting blend that should age gracefully for many years to come. 2009 vintage. Abv 14,3%. 31 euro. — 9 years ago

Enjoyed with Amy at Vino Gallery. Birth year wine still going strong! 💪🏼 — 8 years ago
Very surprising for only $35. Took about 30 min to open up and another 30 let out the flavors. Ruby red, sweet oak, bing cherry, cassis, vanilla, light body with similarities to Rutherford style. I could see this showing well for another 5 years and hello to the high alcohol %!
Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is the southernmost winery in the Napa Valley, one of the world’s foremost winemaking regions. The estate’s more than 300 acres of gently rolling hills and terraced vineyards benefit from the cooling fog and breezes from the nearby San Pablo Bay, climatic conditions that favor the production of exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The unique architecture of Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is reminiscent of a majestic western mountain lodge, replete with soaring ceilings, seating around a cozy fireplace, an observation gallery overlooking the barrel room and production area, and a spectacular wraparound veranda that affords sweeping views of the Napa Valley and San Pablo Bay. — 8 years ago

Had it in November 2011.
Golden colour almost.
Ripe fruit. Indian spices, aromatic herbs. Soft palate that starts hard, softens after 20 minutes. It reminds of a Pfalz Riesling. Complex and long. Not fresh. — 9 years ago

Not usually a fan of the style but this was super juicy and fruit driven. Great dry bite and awesome with a fruit and cheese board. Wine gallery advent calendar wine #11 — 7 years ago

Steve and Lynn recommended. Had at vino gallery. Great! Off dry. Light airy expansive but round finish. Ian really liked also — 9 years ago
Beautiful and serene. Reminiscent of the Amalfi Coast, resplendent with lemons the size of one's head, looking out over the Tyrrhenian Sea and inhaling the salty air. There is a little grassiness, also, bringing this wine back down to earth from its lofty perch. Wine Gallery. — 9 years ago

Whenever we drink this, we remember a lovely picnic at the winery with @Joe Lucca and his wife Diana. Chappellet’s wines are as impressive as the winery. This is a more restrained, subtle Napa cab, tilting more towards a French Bdx, as opposed to the more common Napa exuberance. The nose of soft oak and coffee notes displays elegance. The palate is pure and clean. With no signs of aging, delicate notes of black cherries and truffles are packaged with polished tannins and neutral oak. Drinking this was like standing in an art gallery while admiring a lovely piece of art - a wonderful experience. — 7 years ago
