On the pricier side, dry with a soli bite. Would like it to be a little smokier but leaves a lasting after taste. I’m also currently in Hawaii on a beach drinking this so there is literally nothing in this world that can disappoint me right now. My spirits are high. — 6 years ago
Very light wine! Can taste the citrus. Good summer wine!

Crisp and refreshing,, sometimes how good a wine tastes & feels is just as much about where and when you drink it - after a hot, "Nado" CA beach day this hits the spot and all the right notes! — 10 years ago

Better than I expected! Nice and dry and perfect for drinking on the beach. — 11 years ago
Amazing Rosé with perfect sweetness and bitterness of a wine to boot. Perfect for the beach on a sunny day. — 13 years ago
Salty, clean, and bright with tons of lemon and some white peach. Like a slightly soured beach sunshine. — 8 years ago
The nose has notes of lavender and a faint reminder of beach sand. The first sip started a bit spicy with cinnamon and nutmeg. The tannins are high and chalky at first but fade quickly. The finish is a nice combination of wood, toast and blackberry. I think this wine would benefit from another few years of aging. — 10 years ago

This is a full-throttle unfiltered SB 😅 Very hazy and cloudy with plenty of particles of all shapes & sizes floating around. Loads of pineapple, lychee, peach, and honeysuckle on the nose and palate with a lovely acidity, all of which conjures up images of lawn parties & beach sunsets. — 6 years ago

The 2014 Mattaison Napa Valley Rosé is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Counoise from the Windmill Vineyard. I love this wine because what it communicates is restraint and tensile minerality as one would find in a good Provence rosé. Delicate floral aromas, slightly underripe white peaches, and white hand soap lend dimension to a lithe frame that has a subtle and demure touch of creaminess in the background. White plum skins and pie cherries crescendo before slowly unwinding. 11.2% ABV | Sample — 10 years ago
Truly a lovely surprise! Fresh, just dry enough and slightly citrusy .... Summer beach breeze in a bottle! For 15$ this wine is exceptional. I sipped it with an ahi tuna salad with mango and goat cheese but I'd pair it with just about anything. For me, this wine is easily consumed with a group of friends with diverse tastes: a perfect "social" pairing! Salud! — 11 years ago
Fair bit of bricking, nose is fairly pronounced with roast root vegetables, barnyard, plum and clove. Mid weight and showing good fruit from entry on - plum compote and red cherry - plus spice, caramel, beetroot. Nice complexity without feeling deep - more a sense of entwined flavours. Length and freshness pretty good, that oak caramel sweetness lingering with stewed rhubarb and red plum. Good drink; have got more tucked away but I'll be onto it soon - drinking well and don't think it's going to improve from here. — 11 years ago
