Ol' reliable. This is that pair of well built shoes that are comfortable but aren't going to win any style awards.

Moderate deep red in the glass. Healthy balance between savory and fruit notes. The oak is clearly apparent but is just at a level that it remains integrated.

Tawny red, almost opaque. Bright nose with notes of coffee, herbs, bright core of fruit. Very luscious, rich and smooth in the mouth. Had something funky/off in the nose at first but that blew off after 7 hrs of air. This got bigger and bigger over time. Had this amazing perfume by the end. So very silky. Side by side against the 47 Cheval Blanc, this broke away in the stretch to win by a neck. — 9 years ago
