Really enjoying this easy to drink wine. Seems light, but packs a silent punch. — 8 years ago
Huge progression from the old worlds that we just pivoted from. Lavish bouquet of opulent fruits and a touch of menthol and bacon fat. Palette is explosive. The winemaker has packed a quart into a pint pot. Palette consists of jam, nutmeg, black olives, toast, and a hint of truffles. A huge fruit-bomb that I suggest you pair with you wife, or significant other. Stay home and switch the cellphones to silent... — 9 years ago

Named after a silent order of monks (the 'Lazarists') that were centered in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, often found providing comfort & shelter for those in need. This wine's a blend made up of Carignan, Grenache, Syrah & Cinsault -- Fresh and Affordable with Notes of Raspberry, Red Currant, Wild Herb... — 10 years ago
Thanks to Dave for winning the silent auction. I didn't secretly write your name down. Honestly. — 10 years ago
Snagged this at a silent auction so was concerned about storage...but absolutely delicious. Decanted and aired for 90 minutes...drinking beautifully right now....2007 — 11 years ago
Spellbinding aromas. Sunflower, grape seed oil, hint of bitter melon, cantaloupe, acacia honey, pencil lead. I stood in a silent corner and smelled this wine for 10 minutes. — 11 years ago
A silent beauty - best of the 1982 vintages! — 11 years ago
Very happy w how good this magnum is! Bought at silent auction 5 years ago so had no idea how stores previously. Excellent tasting right now. So smooth. — 12 years ago

No detailed notes as we were at dinner with friends. Three Somm’s present for dinner and all thought this was wine of the night. I was one of them.
I believe their 15 is even better than their fantastic 2010.
If you are not familiar with this producer & terroir, I highly recommend you do. It remains under most consumers radar. I should probably stay silent on it as it will only drive up demand and price. But, good wine is meant to be shared with people who know how to appreciate it. This is around $55 on pre-arrival and $70ish if not bought on pre-arrival.
Olivier Lamy left the family Domaine to learn from other producers before returning to his family Domaine. He made Méo-Camuzet for few years just before his return.
The body was thick and slightly waxy. Nice green apple, pineapple, lime, honeysuckle, fruit blossoms with excellent round acidity, texture, elegant and well polished finish.
Recommend you slightly over chill it and decant it for an hour if you drink it this young. After it hour, it really blossoms.

The 2001 Giuseppe Cortese Barbaresco hit the table and everyone became silent, as they took in its bouquet of roses, dusty earth, sauteed mushroom and dried strawberries. On the palate, I found feminine, lifted textures which seemed to hover on the palate, delivering sweet spice, savory minerals and wild berry fruit with zesty acidity. It finished long with saturating dark red fruits and fine tannin which coated the senses. It's gorgeous tonight with many years of development ahead. — 9 years ago

2003 Vintage in Magnum. 14.1% Alcohol. Took a while to soak up some air and settle down but once it did, smooth palate and aged fruit flavors and resolved tannins. Not Gail’s style but nothing wrong with this over several days. Slight sediment but no bottle coating. Tried to have it opened iat a restaurant for a friends retirement party but I forgot bring the Ah-so. Waiter with corkscrew destroyed the cork and I gave up and opened a 2003 Switchback Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum instead which was perfection. No problem with using the Ah-so at home and the corkscrew has not penetrated the bottom or the cork. Purchased at a ZAP silent auction in 2004 or 2005 so it has the three owners signatures on the label. — 7 years ago
Rich, smooth flavor with a silent finish. — 9 years ago
This Pinot Noir (the t in Pinot is silent) is delectable. A true shining star. The aromatic treat starts with strong notes of red, and screams 'drink the entire bottle buddy'. Succumbing to the temptation you will discover a blissful elegance as this masterpiece flows through your body. Invigorating your inner youth, enchanting your inner sommelier, and appeasing your inner drunkard with the 16.0% alcohol by volume. This reasonably priced bottle of happiness would truly be a delight on any occasion. Additionally the surgeon general declares consumption of such a magnificent beverage could be detrimental to the growth of a child, pregnant women be warned. — 9 years ago

Vintage 2002 - carignan and syrah, smell with minerals, chocolate, truffle, red summer fruit. Excellent drinking, now even better than one year ago. Wine that makes me happy. Thank you @Willem Jan Withagen — 9 years ago
La couleur, primordiale pour un rosé, est idéale selon moi. Les arômes de fruits rouges (framboise pour moi) se resentent à la fois au nez et en bouche. Le vin est frais et très aromatique. Une bonne découverte ! — 10 years ago
2002 Salon (Blanc de Blancs). Medium lemon. Yeasty, white pepper note, green apple and lemon - bit closed. On the palate, riper although very fresh - 11 years on lees (2nd disgorgement of 2002). Refined and elegant, feminine character with some kick on the finish. Acidity is integrated fully, a silent assassin. Seductive wine. Don't open for 15 years as this is a shy wine with a great future. — 10 years ago
Outstanding - menthol & chocolate with juniper berries in there somewhere - oak remains a silent partner — 11 years ago
