Classic oily petrol plastic Riesling, but with a crispness and some minerality — 6 years ago
Dry and minerals — 7 years ago
Second time for me tasting this wine and I'm still impressed by the complexity. So many layers of different aromas. Very impressive. On the palate its a totally differential approach than all the GGs I tasted before. Much rounder, softer with pure elegance and a super, super subtle power. This Sankt Nikolaus plays in a totally different league. Kühn told us that he wants to do a different wine out of the grape variety than the other producers. Like the Tements do in Austria with their Sauvignon Blancs he said. — 9 years ago

First time with this Austrian varietal. Beautiful ruby color, dry finish, subtle smoke, earthy for as light bodied as it is! — 10 years ago
Beautiful bright and balanced with enough age to be getting interesting. Pears and lemon curd with a hint of pineapple upside down cake. Wish I had another to drink in another 15 years. — 10 years ago
A briny Riesling — 12 years ago
Pale straw to clear in color. On the nose a perfume of honey, apricot, nectarine, a burst of slate and touch of petrol. On the palate is a nice bit of acid balanced with a touch of residual sugar. The wine glides through the middle and finishes with green apples, melon and honeysuckle. Quite a lovely wine that isn't too loud, where the low mid and highs are nuanced for your tasting pleasure. — 3 years ago

Solid, not the best of her 2015 bottlings, but we sure ain't complaining. — 8 years ago
Almost midori-like character instantly on the nose, Apple / kiwi cordial, peach jelly, spearmint and butterscotch tobacco. The palate strikes the perfect balance of sweetness, acidity aswell as precision and clean fruit. It slips right across the mid palate and glides on through. Pretty faultless really. Drink now or put down for a decade plus — 8 years ago

I prefer the '94 but still such a solid wine. — 10 years ago
Lovely pairing with octopus and peppers. It felt like the wine danced on my tongue with the spiciness of the peppers. 2013 — 10 years ago
Very fine dry riesling, Grape typical — 10 years ago
This 2016 Riesling wine is made from late-harvested grapes, so it is sweet. However, it is sweet in a different way than a dessert wine is sweet. There is no layered sugar, no raisiny note. I get the sweetness of the grapes, and the minerals which accompany them. Stone fruit is apparent, as is the smell of a wet driveway, a whiff of ozone and the faint petrol notes that begin to show in Rieslings over time. This may be one of the best examples of the grape that I have had. — 5 years ago

Thick body, with an array of stone fruit & white flowers on palate. Found it to be a bit meh in mid palate & in its acidity. — 3 years ago
