Big surprise here. More research in the winery forthcoming…anyone know Weingut Mad? Crazy name! Anyway, we're in the Leithaberg DAC of Burgenland. This DAC authorizes both white and red varieties. Here, the blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc grown on 100% limestone is truly delicious. Raised in oak, though so well-integrated it doesn't register. So fresh, mineral, and such appealing texture. Citrus - almost like Meyer lemon segments. I'm charmed! — 12 years ago
