17/20 — 9 years ago

Bright and tart with stone fruit and acidity. Prairie rocks! — 10 years ago
Slightly bitter Bret intermingled with slightly tropical hop flavors. Not too big or overpowering, either. A nice balance is achieved in this medium-bodied brew. Well done. — 10 years ago

A bit gamayish, a bit pinotish, nice sourish notes. — 8 years ago
Good and strong. It was stronger and better balanced than most European wines I've had. Probably the strongest I've had in Europe. — 9 years ago
Claus Preisinger, young biodynamic winemaker from Austria. Expressive 50/50 zweigelt and blaufrankisch from Austria, supple like merlot, light like Pinot noir. Light chill, perfect summer red. Great value. — 9 years ago
Wine we had at Claus anniversary. Try to find — 10 years ago

Saison sour farmhouse ale: dried cherry, bret, and balanced. Feel like this was very balanced. — 10 years ago
So there is a reason this was the last bottle on the shelf in an other wise crowded section of Australian in my ole pal Gary V's shop. This was a real nice bottle. On the nose it's very vibrant fresh like an evening in spring with the elderly neighbor still burning wood. The fruits are dark and tight, a hint of eucalyptus and definite real licorice, not twizzlers, possibly Smith Brothers. I always know I enjoy a bottle immensely when I am alone and after a few sips, I point to the bottle and say, that's a good f ing bottle, then realize I am talking to myself. It's all good. 2010. I am Claus, in the house. — 11 years ago
An unusual winner. Hope that I can find if again someday. — 12 years ago

Two words: Elegance and finesse.
Like a tennis player performing the perfect slice instead of going for the smash. Like a heavyweight fighter dancing around, jabbing a thousand times, even though he could go for the KO any time.
For us good wine making comes down to two simple words: elegance and finesse. In this case it means not pumping the wine till it almost bursts just because you can, but to balance it perfectly. The acidity is there. The power is there. The spice is there. The fruit is there.
So, thank you Jürgen Krebs! This wine didn't only go perfect with tonights bbq, this cool grown grape juice also matched the summer evening like a match made in heaven. — 9 years ago
bit too young, bit too alcoholic, but mindblowing already - a statement of austrian red wine! — 10 years ago
