Don't get to drink petit Verdot often! I've been fortunate to try other Bremer wines the past few weeks and am loving their style. They hold their wines back longer than most. This wine is a giant...needs lots of air. Not quite a bull in a China shop, but close. Plums, blackberries, dates, and black licorice. Some lavender as well. Big boy stuff! 3 hour decant. Nose has a bit of pencil, lots of dark fruit. Cherries, plum and loads of chocolate. Tannins are balanced but the finish dances for a quality amount of time. — 10 years ago

Delicious combination of fruit and asphalt. Feel the tannins after the fruit. A big mix of fruit off the vine (not jammy) and the dryness after that surprised me. A sophisticated wine. — 6 years ago

An interesting contrast to the st emillion of the same vintage we had the night before. Much more fruit forward, with sweet dark cherry and wild dark berry fruit, almost honeyed, framing the wine. There is some cedar, a hint of flowers, a little earth, dusting of cocoa powder, but the fruit is youthful and dominates. Plush, solid acidity, Good structure still, but not to keep it from declining from here. Not super complex, but very focused, polished and well done — 7 years ago
