Beautiful bourbon, nice amount of oak, brown sugar, vanilla and easy to drink. — 6 years ago
Like peaches and cream! Perfect summer wine — 6 years ago
Lime pith, ripe pear notes on the exuberant nose.... but the weight on the palate is impressive. Textured, waxy, lively acidity and a long almost saline finish. This is a food wine that can hold its own with Asian or Mediterranean cuisine and slice through the richness and complexity to make its own statement. An impressive introduction to Ian Brand and a stunning value. Kudos! — 6 years ago
When winemaker Simon Waghorn created his own brand, he chose the name Astrolabe, which is an ancient instrument of navigation that measures the altitude of the stars. Pale straw with grassy citrus notes and floral scents. On the palate peach, tangy citrus and melon flavors with gentle acidity. Medium+ finish ending with bright mineral character. — 7 years ago
I want to marry this wine and have it next to me throughout the rest of my life. — 8 years ago
Vanilla is the first thing that hits you. The caramel adds a certain sweetness to the taste. I would literally drink this all the time if I could get it. Dark, tasty, perfection. — 9 years ago

Per Eric at Domestique, Dec 2019. One litre. For party, but not drunk and in refrigerator for six weeks. Still deLIGHTful on 1 Feb 2020. Exquisite balance, alcohol, sugar, [saline indeed, Casey Curbow] and effervescence. — 5 years ago
Floral, citrus, mineral, lovely texture. Edit: Revisiting while sipping a bottle and it’s an absolutely gorgeous wine. So succulent and such intensity. Bumping up my score. — 6 years ago
At first taste it’s definitely a ripper; funky nose, tart, and plenty of citric. Settles into itself quite nicely, doesn’t get flabby. Gets a little acetic and fleshy as it opens up. Definitely one you’ll talk about. — 6 years ago
Just gets better. Light to medium. Some grit. Some sweet tart. Yum. — 6 years ago
I was at the winery many years ago the day that Sophia Coppola was up for her Oscar for Lost in Translation. I always thought of this as just a brand before that, but watching the tasting room volunteers beam with pride that day reminds me that the wine truly comes from the people that produce it. I know that sounds cheesy. I saw this in the liquor store for a decade before I bought it years ago. And now that many, many years have passed since those early wine years for me, I look at this wine fondly. Which is really what wine is all about. — 7 years ago
Blackberry, raspberry, cherry cola, cassis, vanilla, licorice, oak and hints of eucalyptus. Great structure and velvety tannins. — 7 years ago
Lemon pie, custard, bergamit, sandy and stony, expansive mid palate , grippy finish. — 8 years ago
A lot of bottle variation on these guys. This is my 5th bottle in 3 weeks. Beautiful bright blue fruit. Yummy! — 10 years ago
A wonderful craft beer. Has the taste of an easy to drink lager but with a mild and not too overpowering fruitiness. — 10 years ago
Orange blossom, lychee, and honey. Sweet and complex. — 10 years ago
Very aromatic Riesling from Alsace. Melon, white flowers, orange peel, even hint of ginger on those nose. Beautiful deep yellow, almost gold color. Mouth watering acidity with a persistent finish — 5 years ago
Favorite fruity white to span time with this summer — 6 years ago
There's a lot to like about this whisky. There's also quite a lot not to like. The intense vanilla, caramel, mocha flavors are delicious and sustain beautifully. However, there isn't the elegance or smoothness of a great whisky. Better than most large production options at a similar price point and a worthy addition to the home bar.

Unknown purchase place and price. Monterey county. I Brand winery. Full bodied with dark berry flavors and firm tannins. Good balance. Would love to buy again. — 9 years ago
Discovered this Pinot a couple years ago as an alternative to a brand my family liked. I agree that it is a Cab drinker's Pinot in that it's got a bit more body & holds up with steak or pizza! — 10 years ago
I found the coffee a little overpowering/distracting in this years version. Still very good, but a bit more roasted in 2014 — 10 years ago
