Wow. A spectacularly fragrant nose of red and black cherries and violets. On more than one occasion I have been hypnotized by a wine's "nose" only to be disappointed by the palate. In this instance the nose was strictly foreplay. An avalanche of fruit that is held in check by its structure until it is unleashed in a wave of red and black fruit, baking spice and minerals.
