Medium ruby, clear and bright all the way to the edge. Medium bodied nose with lots of berry,lavender and subtle spice notes. Great wine. Had a smokey flavor when first opened that was over powering, as you continue to drink it and it opens up the flavors fully start to develop. There Is a plum/cherry flavor with a smooth vanilla finish. Would pair this with red meat. Lamb, some BBQ, steak. The flavors were awkwardly dancing as if it was there first dance at a middle school party. By the second hour of opening up, they were full fledged waltzing. It was a beautiful symphony of movement.
