Bought this after hearing Russell talk about it at a Twin Liquors tasting. Must say day one quite quaffable but no great shakes, but developed on day 2 to quite velvety w/ good tannins on the finish. A very nice wine. — 9 years ago

Nose: stewed fruit, slight mustiness, low intensity. Herb de Provence.
Very drying, from tannins.
BW: Lifted nose; purple flower smell, lilac or lavender. Slightly riper, rounder than other wines.

I get green papaya or green pineapple on the nose. Lychee too. Dryer on the tongue than on the nose, I was surprised - pleasantly! Very easy to drink. I will buy this again. It'll stand alone or be good w/ food. Most white drinkers in a crowd would like this. — 10 years ago

Intense lychee and Granny Smith Apple peel aroma. Great representation of an under appreciated varietal. Full body w/ good acid balance long lychee finish without being soapy. — 11 years ago

Magnum 1997 Dal Forno Romano Amarone dell Valpolicella. Drank at Reddwood lunch w B&K K, J&L B, and M&R H. Third of the red lineup. Neither K nor I had tasted this before and it was delicious. Enormous and inky. It was just massive both in flavor and how it coated the mouth. Slight sweetness. Very cool to try! — 9 years ago
