Gorgeous texture with velvety dark red fruit with notes of game, leather and truffle. Pretty acidity keeps it all in balance. — 7 years ago
Although this is not my preferred style (international grape varietals, 100% new oak) the Granat is always a very good wine. Especially in this cooler vintage the fruit is better captured by the acidity. Oak is definitely noticeable but not over the top. Lots of power on the palate but also not overdone. Super long finish. Can easily age for 20-30 years and I mean that seriously. — 8 years ago
Tailgate wine. Love it. Fresh! — 9 years ago
Fun little number with red berries, spice, hints of something vegetal. Popped when I opened it and drinks pretty spritzy but that's pretty fun and there's no real tannin there to fight it. — 9 years ago

It's like a merlot had a Pinot baby. In my mouth. — 11 years ago
Day 2 notes as on day 1 I wasn’t paying that much attention. Very mineral and green herbal. Nice rocks as well. Good detail and depth. Nice lime and lemon. Very precise aromas. Palate has all types of gorgeous bitter citrus fruits with some hints of apricot. Nice mouthfeel and richness while while also being mineral and finesse driven. Terrific. — 7 years ago

What an experience! This ain't jo momma's Lemberger. Full of garrigue, exotic spice and gushing blue fruit. Delivers great sensory pleasure and length. — 9 years ago
A thoughtful rather powerful Pinot Noir Rosé (20% Trollinger, too), pale orange in color, redolent of grapefruit skin & yellow rose on the nose, with some heft, as I've got 2014 here in August '16, emerging in the weight. Not a frisky rosé, reflecting Schnaitmann's serious & head-turning Württemberg Pinot Noirs. — 9 years ago
Lovely wine. Great producer. — 9 years ago

Such lightness and freshness, like when you breathe clean mountain air. Yet it has real taste and depth. Radically different from any German red, I really cannot compare it to any other wine in memory. How do they make this? — 7 years ago
