Granat Red Blend 2013
Although this is not my preferred style (international grape varietals, 100% new oak) the Granat is always a very good wine. Especially in this cooler vintage the fruit is better captured by the acidity. Oak is definitely noticeable but not over the top. Lots of power on the palate but also not overdone. Super long finish. Day 2 notes as on day 1 I wasn’t paying that much attention. Very mineral and green herbal. Nice rocks as well. Good detail and depth. Nice lime and lemon. Very precise aromas. Palate has all types of gorgeous bitter citrus fruits with some hints of apricot. Nice mouthfeel and richness while while also being mineral and finesse driven. Terrific. — 7 years ago
