Vigilius Rotaliano Teroldego 2013

Really terrific example of a terodego rotaliano from northern Italy (Alto Adige I believe). Beautiful red-purple color, great depth on the nose with a nice balance of earthiness and red-black fruits, great acidity, and a balanced finish. SO good to be back at Le Volpe e l'uva! — 9 years ago

Starts with a Zinfandel-like jam quality, then gets less fruity. Medium tannins and light char -- interesting evolution and a not-too-heavy touch with the char. Great introduction for me to Mexican wines.

Feudi di San Gregorio

Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Greco Blend 2016

White wine, blend of Coda di Volpe and Falanghina grapes.

Clear, medium yellow colour.

On the nose citrus peel of medium intensity, especially lemon and orange. Strong minerality of volcanic rocks, expression of the soil where the grapes are grown.

Dry with high acidity on the palate and medium body. Nice pear flavour.

Medium-long finish.
