(28.02.17) — 6 years ago

Full-ish bodied, heavy tobacco, pepper, blueberry, cherry...excellent! Organic!!! — 7 years ago
One of Italy's greatest vinaioli. — 7 years ago
Cherry, watermelon, strawberry -- like a fruit salad, in a good way — 8 years ago
Love these wines. Love this producer. Shows what kind of versatility you can get from Sangiovese in Umbria and how balanced and structured tavola wines can be. — 9 years ago
Funky and vaguely fizzy. Cider and permanent marker on the nose. Right up my alley. — 9 years ago
Wow. Deep, massively extracted Barbera. Wasn't expecting this. Aromatic, with bright acid though, and funk. Could be mind blowing in 5 years. 2011. And 15% abv. — 9 years ago
Collecapretta, Rosato 2011 — 11 years ago
The inviting breadiness and nuttiness on the nose reeled me in. There’s also aromas of yellow pears, green apples, and white flowers. On the palate it’s full bodied with an acidity that’s very well behaved and balanced. For flavors it’s a bowlful of mellow fruit like yellow pears, honeydew melon, and cantaloupe, getting an uplifting brightness from tart green apples. This is some awesome Prosecco. — 6 years ago
Hanging in with nice fruit. — 7 years ago
Extraordinary! Don't underestimate Moscato when it is left alone in a barrel under the stairs in the vineyard cellar for 20 years. Might of guessed sherry, or rancio, truly unique. — 7 years ago
Comment: Beautifully balanced nose that makes your skin crawl. This Barolo has deep baking spice notes balanced with herbs humid hay and a warm peppery balsamic finish. Pepper hits the palate first followed by dried herbs (organo, thyme) and a slight cherry/strawberry finish. Silky smooth tannins that give this a beautiful mouthfeel! Yum! — 8 years ago
Great yeast, apple and mineral with bright acid and lemon. — 9 years ago
I've had 6 bottles of this. 1 was absurdly reduced, but was superb on the 3rd day. The other 5 were ethereal. Lasted for days, or sometimes, didn't last for an hour. Stunning example of what Sangiovese can be when its not over-cropped, over-ripe and over-oaked. I don't like most Sangiovese, it's no secret. Something about the creamy yogurt thing I get, and the opinion I have that Tuscany is the Napa of Italy. But this wine is real, raw, alive, unique. No oak. No additives. No bullshit. I love it. Umbrian Sangiovese fermented and aged in concrete. It changes and breathes. There's not much else like it. — 10 years ago
Sooo yummy. Darker on the nose, but light and sweet on the palate - like cucumbers or powdered sugar or melon. — 5 years ago
Love the 2013. Satisfying. — 7 years ago
WE says it's a 94. Maybe someday, but it needs years to soften up. — 8 years ago

Yes that's a 2009 moscato. Evolving beautifully. Complex, great depth. — 9 years ago
A nice balanced desert wine. — 9 years ago
Delicious wine with lasagna. Very fruit forward and smooth tannins. A little "hot" but very nice finish — 9 years ago
Amazing value at $15 — 11 years ago
I tasted this one almost 2 years ago. The exact details of this wine I can't recall, but what I do remember is that this was the best Soave I've ever tasted. May be hard to find, it was I wine I looked into importing. — 12 years ago
Alessandro Barile
Vintage 2000 but bottled in 2016. Complex and rich of flavours, similar to an orange. No sweet at all even if it's a Moscato. Unbeatable. — 5 years ago
