This is Bouchet vineyard higher altitude than the cote rousse which is from red mountain production is almost exactly the same and the clone is the phelps clone so the only difference is the terroir 50% new oak — 12 years ago

Soaring savory notes here. All kinds of meat, black olive, dirt, iron and black pepper. Deep and interesting in all sorts of ways. I love this type of wine! I made a rustic dinner of grilled rack of lamb, roasted Brussels sprouts and fingerling potatoes with a squash and curry soup. This fit the bill perfectly. — 8 years ago
