Very dry and smooth — 8 years ago
Well balanced, full body, black fruits like plum and dark berries. Hints of leather, nice tannins leave a relatively long finish to the wine. Well done. — 9 years ago

This is the body is like Pinot. But with Zinfandel flavors. Super juicy. Maraschino cherries. Rich fruity. Salty. Ashy. Lots of coastal influence. For its price it's wonderful. Nice light but plenty of complex notes. — 11 years ago
Very earthy on the nice.... Packs more of a fruit punch than I would have guessed... Great wine. — 12 years ago

Palish red with a brick rim. Mellow, soil-driven scents of coffee, faded rose, mocha, cedar and truffle, with red berry notes in the background; comes across as complex and mature. Quite suave but a bit peppery and lean on first pour, showing moderate flesh but surprising energy thanks to its firm acidity and minerality. Initially seemed a bit lacking in intensity (perhaps from the vintage's generally high yields) but gained in suppleness and volume with aeration. Finishes with a firm spine of dusty tannins that avoid dryness. I find this quite sexy now with some aeration and would certainly want to drink it within the next several years. Incidentally, Jérôme Faure-Brac did not start vinifying at Drouhin until 2005. (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, March 2018) — 8 years ago

Soft raspberry and ripe wild strawberry nose. Wet earth. Palate confirms very soft fruits and light black pepper notes. Medium acidity and medium tannins. Noticeable chocolate and wet brown bark flavors. Bought it at whole foods for like 8 bucks. Had it with coconut veggie curry, really brought out the spice. Finished it with dark chocolate which lent a coffee note to things. — 11 years ago

16.5/20 (89/100) Свежее и приятное вино с ароматами зеленого перца и горошка, земляники и цветов тысячелистника. Достаточно тельное с умеренной кислотностью. Земляничное во вкусе. Дача летом. #prowein2018 — 8 years ago
I dug this example of the varietal quite a bit. Enjoyed at the lovely Malvasija wine bar in Dubrovnik; seek this out if you want a dry white that is a pleasant sip of white peaches, apples, and lemon meringue. — 9 years ago

Excellent. Bright and paired well with a pot roast - brought out more acidity and cut through the richness. — 8 years ago
