Listen, I don't want to come off as biased, because I'm not a fan of all the wines we make at my place if employment. But this easy going $11 bottle has more soul than any of your overpriced Sonoma county #pinotnoir's (taste/body wise the closest vinifera comparison) that people buy up in heard formation (not naming names). A unique lush boysenberry gives way to black cherries and supple dry spice on the finish. A #seductive #elegance reminiscent of the sexiest #bourgogne's WILL leave you craving more after every sip. Did I mention it only retails for like $11? #chambourcin #MOwines #gem #missouri #hermann #value — 10 years ago

This, my first wine from Virginia was very impressive. I find it interesting to think about how Thomas Jefferson failed at propgating any of the 24 vinifera varieties he brought home to Monticello and also how wine wasn't really on the map when I lived in VA for a decade in the 1990s. A wonderful, perfectly balanced, delicious VA wine can now truly await you. Will keep my eyes open for more greats from VA. — 7 years ago

Had a 97 Coulee Serrant earlier this year that ended up being so close to this in a holistic sense; that inescapable electricity on the palette and such a complex nose that could easily be mistaken for a shy nature of unripe fruit. It’s obvious why this is a premier Cru monopole that gets its own cute little label design in such a large wine-making house as Drouhin. Truly a special plot firing like proper vinifera nerve endings on planet earth should. Some may think this is subtle. This takes space and depth as the taster to allow this to sink deeply.👌🏼 thanks Wally wine for redeeming itself on this and Bachelet 05 aligote. These two whites have been some of the highlights of my recent wine experiences. — 7 years ago
Aromas of plums and raspberries. Peppery and jammy with a burst to the roof of your mouth plum dryness in the middle. Soft jammy finish. — 9 years ago
