Great wine but be aware that it’s still very young. Not a typical Ponzi single vineyard Chardonnay, it’s still strong, greasy, reductive aroma and flavors are reminiscent of many a modern Cote de Beaune. Powerful, complex, detailed, earthy. Decant and aerate if drinking now but better still to cellar at least another 5 years. I’m projecting it will age gracefully for 25 years or more. — 3 years ago

After 39 years, this wine still has held up well. Typical Rioja Tempranillo grapes with tobacco, leather and black fruit to the nose. Oaky. Almost no tannins and still balanced.
