Vino Di La Valada California Alicante Bouschet

Picked this one up while driving through Fresno last year. Dark jammy red fruits, cranberry and black pepper on the nose. Initial taste is fruity but then tastes a bit like black olive brine. — 10 years ago

Saviez Vineyards Pinot Noir 2013

This wine is a light ruby color and medium bodied, fruit-forward and soft with only a touch of oak. It made a fantastic accompaniment to Italian and Asian cuisine. — 11 years ago

Duarte Vineyards Zinfandel 2010

A big red, this Zin is made in a style without excessive sugar, but smooth and balanced at 14.3% alcohol. Full of jammy red currants and crisp acidity, this is a fantastic food wine which paired well with vegetable lasagne, Greek salad, and baked jalapeño poppers. — 11 years ago

Jammy Cabernet Sauvignon

Very jammy and sweet but absolutely delicious!!! Kinda weird talking about a slightly sweet Cabernet Sauvignon but it is really got a very nice rich stewed berry taste and its smooth. — 13 years ago

A nice take on cab franc. Soft acids, medium tannins, with a well rounded body. Very happy that the green pepper never showed up in force. Added bonus that it's a Fresno State enology alum. — 10 years ago

Depth Perception Red Blend 2012

A classic Bordeaux style blend, this wine has thick tannic structure, dark chocolate, black cherries, and espresso beans with a heavy lingering finish. Most certainly not a Summer wine! — 11 years ago
