Bright with tart cherries, high acidity and light body, very low tannin and dark chocolate with blueberries. Great with pizza and butternut squash and even curry. Fantastic every day wine — 7 years ago
Smooth as silk! — 8 years ago
Concentrated fruit with layers of flavors. Soft tannins with structure still present. Spicy with vanilla notes. Love it — 8 years ago
Delicious, smooth, has fruit and acidity but not overpowering. Paired wonderfully with a spicy meal. Reasonably priced for Priorat. Decant before drinking. — 9 years ago
Attractive but green. Promising! Soft oaked, hidden complexity. Pear, avocado and young soft cheese, fresh almonds. I'll leave the other bottlles alone for at least 3 yr. — 10 years ago

2016 vintage. Dark red. Ripe fruit. earthy nose. Wild herbal quality. Good acidity. Balanced out by medium tannins. — 7 years ago
Nose shows hints of Brandy and light citrus. Tasting notes include honey, apricots, peach. Easy drinking wine. — 8 years ago
This is singularly one of the most interesting delicious and spectacular wines I regularly drink. Beautiful complexity, nose, finish... simply amazing and every vintage works. Please find and drink this wine! — 9 years ago
JL Sardinia tasting 1/17/17. 14.5% ABV. Very prominent nose of earth and leaves and dark fruits. Tannic and firm body with long finish and hints of menthol and dirt. $38. 55% Bovale Sardo. Will age. — 9 years ago

2012 vintage on 10/24/18. Very good and will only get better with some additional time. — 8 years ago
Great wine indeed. Nose is complex, camphor, dry amarena cherry, some flint, no oxidation not fading on this bottle yet.
On the palate, Fruit is gone for this bottle, wine is dominated by its tannic structure that is on the dry side, almost austere. I was expecting a fleshier, mellower tannin. Dry herbs, dry raisins, cherry again.
Long finish, good acidity that’s keeps the wine alive and well going.
Mitigate the intensity with proteins and juice/sauce.
Osso bucco with prunes will work. We did Fiorentina and it was ok. The crust and smokiness did not help, over exhibiting the dryness of tannins. — 8 years ago
Cracked the 2010. Still young but really good. Not shut down or reticent like other reviews I read. Epic Sangiovese. — 9 years ago
Fujioka $21. Great with steak or prime rib. Not a heavy red. Can drink on its own. — 9 years ago
