Pure joy in the bottle. A fun summer afternoon back in the day spent with that girl that you still think about when that song comes on. Clear lemon in the glass with faint green flecks. Big floral aromatics initially with herbs and mint. Ripe pears and lemon curd with a dash of honeydew. Apple juice and fresh cut grass.
Richer and more full bodied than you were expecting with high acidity. Really, really nice texture and mouthfeel going on here. Vivacious and lively throughout. The attack is dominated by memories of her before things fell apart. When life was good and the sun shined a little more brightly. An exciting and lovely wine. — a year ago

Very nice. Light, fun, and fruity. A great Shiraz for the price. — 8 years ago

Truly, a Syrah not Shiraz from Australia. Pretty, restrained- not overly floral or jammy. Only outdone by Gary's Healesville Syrah- which is a feminine beast. — 11 years ago
Lovely Aussi expression of this grape. Lively flavors and smooth in it’s transitions particularly for a wine so young. Closer to a Ghemme than a Barola. Earthy, Raspberry, rose petal, dried fruit, hazelnut. Very approachable young as it is not overly tannic or acidic. — 9 months ago
Al says Cherry! Really yum !… for a Pinot noir? — 10 months ago

Light fruity juicy AF — 6 years ago
Perfumed berries on the nose. Light berries (raspberry, strawberry) come to the fore in a gentle way but with enough structure and length ensuring the flavour doesn't dissipate. Really nice. — 8 years ago
Perfect drop for open that bottle night! The fruit still vibrant and this wine has years in it yet! Superb — 8 years ago
Best Australian Shiraz — 10 years ago
Lighter than I expected but not disappointed with layers of exotic spice and fruit. Very reminiscent of an aged Cote Rotie. — 9 months ago
$15 closeout & feels like theft! Inky massive, voluptuous wafting tons of dense black fruit, brooding, white pepper, game, bit feral, had a bit more nuance than many garden variety Shiraz. Very broad across the middle, generous ripe black fruit & pepper, decent balance, little clumsy & provincial, but definitely enjoyable. — 10 months ago
Don’t know how this one escaped my attention for so long, but I get why it’s so well loved. Ridiculous QPR. At the risk of both revealing my ignorance and offending everyone, I reckon this is the drink Stanley Dry White cask (a seminal drop in my existence, and fellow Australian cheapo icon) aspires to be. Whistle-clean citrusy drinker with intensity right round the edges. Cellaring a few of these from now on. — 4 years ago
2nd go round on this guy. A light garnet in color. Very subtle nose. A lighter style Pinot that was very complimentary to our salmon. More of a delightful experience the second time around. — 5 years ago
Sour red cherries, wild strawberry, horse shit, mushrooms. Wild acidity. Years ahead of it. Fresh. Vital. — 7 years ago
Apple from the white and berry from the red. Tastes like an impossibly sweet shiraz. — 8 years ago
Spicy but smoothly finished. Nice berries on the nose. Drinking really well right now. — 8 years ago
One of the best Australian wines and from a lesser know region (Gelong) — 10 years ago
