Benedetta knows how to make a great wine. This comes from a tiny family owned estate on the east side of the hill in Montalcino. Benedetta's father worked these vines for years before he saved up to buy them. They only make 13,000 bottles / year I believe. Think of their Super Tuscan starter /first course wine, the Rossi as the brother, and their Brunello as the "dad". Buy this bottle. — 9 years ago
Thick, dense, heavy, dry fruit. Good, clean, but not terribly versitile. Good that it was a dessert pairing. Will try again. — 9 years ago

Opened up a 2011 bottle we backpacked with around Europe for two weeks! Cheers to you Alessandro and Kiera. Your wine is excellent and we are thinking of your excellent hospitality. The wine has a fruit forward and dry finish. Excellent and unique aroma. — 9 years ago
Great value! It went well with our chicken and peppers on rice. This blend tastes like a lightly oaked Chardonnay. — 9 years ago

Intensly dry earth aromas with a balanced Brett/funk component. Integrated tannins with wonderful fruit to acid balance. Well structured. — 10 years ago
Much more delicious than I dared imagine, with a mid-palate buzzing with unexpected rich notes of chamomile & a feeling of deep shade on a sunny day, what a killer quaff at an easy price! — 11 years ago

A very balanced wine. Wonderful stone fruits of underripe apricot and peach. More dense than other Vernaccia’s we have tried but with a clean brightness that we have come to expect. — 9 years ago
