A little tired, but still lovely. — 8 years ago
Textbook Chablis, not much more to say than that. Bright, pure fruit. Sandy and briny. Glowing. And relatively lean and racy for a producer with a rep for being on the heavy side. — 9 years ago

I only discovered Verget two year ago and the story behind this wine maker just recently, I am both glad and sad, glad as the wines are superb and they perfectly match my taste in whites, sad as I missed some of the past masterpiece wines made under this label. This Chablis 1er cru is spot in, perfectly balanced between a light touch of wood and splendid minerals, the body is smooth and round, with great finesse and an elegant finish. The 2009 vintage superb, go for it!! My score 90, drink to 2020 — 10 years ago
Spearmint party. First night in Paris. That certainly worked in its favor. — 11 years ago
Unexpected surprise. I prefer a bit of oak in my Chards. None here, but I'm not disappointed. Full and crisp, yet, still a hint of butteriness. Very nice seafood pairing in lieu of a Sauvignon Blanc. This is a repeat. — 12 years ago

This is a lovely light Chardonnay. Citrus notes with the mineral finish go very well with fish or other like some meals. This is the entry level at 17.00, but we tasted several other bottles that were even better, including "Grand Elevage" for 25.00 — 10 years ago

Nose and palate like a New World Chardonnay. Some funky leesy notes and some sulphidic Struck match. Trace of pineapple juice on palate. Lightly oaked with muted acid. Good Wine but the Verget is $59 and the Leeuwin Estate Prelude from Margaret River at about half this price is a better wine. Tasted 123 weeks later on 12th December 2020 with consistent notes. Certainly new world in style except lightly Oaked with that Pineapple juice still there. Interestingly I was rereading a tasting note on Leflaive Macon. Pineapple juice flavours must be a characteristic of the region. — 7 years ago
